Well here it is – the 2nd of SIX category winners.
And this result – will be very different to every other result this year…
(Keep reading… you’ll see…)
Category 2 is “Games that weren’t”.
Entrants were challenged to write a game that was promised, or hinted at in the 80’s, but never came about. Maybe it was mentioned in a magazine, but never released?
There was an amazing number of entries to this category.
I was quite amazed, when I heard there was… one.
And therefore… the winner is…
Thoughts from the judges?
- Ian said “The game plays like a bastardised Game & Watch crossed with Top Of The Pops on a bad LSD trip.“
- Geekay said “That shit drummer Phil Collins never saw it coming – he’ll not be donning a monkey suit and craving bars of chocolate anymore!“
- Kudos added “Kudos for originality, but a bit too obscure for my liking.“
- But Spray noted “I doubt Lobo gives a flying monkey what I thought about it – it’s still the category winner!“
Lobo wins a big swag of goodies, including an XGS Micro Edition,
and a tonne of fantastic gamemaking software.
