Sydneysiders have no (pin)balls in 2010

Last year’s inaugural Sydney Pinball Expo wasn’t perfect, but it generated more ‘pinball coverage‘ in Australia, than anything else has in recent memory.

In recent months, the organisers have shared a few of their ideas for 2010. A larger venue, more exhibitors, international guests… but sadly, we’ll now have to wait till 2011.

I’d always thought it should happen, but Michael Shalhoub & Rian Gledson have made it happen. The first ever Sydney Pinball expo.

One town hall. Hundreds of pinballs on freeplay. And I was all out of gum…

Yep – posts at J-OMG are like buses.
Wait ages for one, then TWO arrive together! 😀

Now, you’ve probably seen “wall decals” depicting classic arcade characters before.
Mario, Pacman, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders…

But today we have one with a slight twist…

World’s smallest “working” cocktail arcade game?

First of all, sorry for the short break in posting.
(As usual, I’ve been busy working on a number of large stories – that are all taking time!)

Anyone for a “New in Box” Robotron cocktail/table game?

1. Robotron is a very popular early 80’s arcade videogame.
2. The cocktail (table) version is very desirable.
3. One in good condition would be even more desirable.
4. One that’s “New in Box” would be off the charts.

Of course, finding a “new in box” arcade game from 27 years ago would be impossible… wouldn’t it…?

My wife & I are big fans of 24, so we’re excited to see that pinball-maker Stern’s new machine is based on the show.
